A resident of Baton Rouge went to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at the age of 91. He was born the son of Maurice and Stella Vincent of Sulphur, LA, born on August 15, 1930. He attended McNeese State University, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts degree and graduated from New Orleans Baptist Seminary earning his Minister of Religious Education degree. During his years in the ministry, he served in churches in Sulphur, Poplarville, MS, Zachary and Minden. He served faithfully as Minister of Education and Minister of Outreach for 15 years at Istrouma Baptist Church before retiring from the ministry. He remained a member after retiring and he continued to serve his church as a Bible study leader, visiting the homebound and photographing Baptisms. He also continued his hobby of professional photography. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Burl Vincent. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home at 9:00am Monday, November 8, 2021 with a service at 10:00am and burial to follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Istrouma Baptist Church in his memory.
