Virgil C. Davis, Jr. a native and resident of Baton Rouge passed away Saturday, September 28, 2013 at the age of 71. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florid Blvd on Thursday October 3, 2013 from 6pm until 8pm. Visitation will continue on Friday October 4, 2013 at St. Thomas More Catholic Church from 10am until Mass of Christian burial at 11am officiated by Rev. Frank Uter. Burial will follow at Roselawn Memorial Park. Virgil is survived by his wife, Janice Dupuy Davis, daughter, Emily Elizabeth Davis, daughter and son-in-law, Susan and George Hogg, grandchild, Brandon Hogg and his wife Sarah, grandchild Hayley Hogg and sister and brother-in-law; Cassandra "Cassie" and David Crochet. He is also survived by his in-laws, Martha and Ralph Dupuy and numerous other brothers and sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Rev. Virgil C. Davis, Sr. and Herminie C. Davis. Virgil was larger than life and will be missed by many. Special thanks to all the medical personnel who took such good care of Virgil over the years.
