Tina B. Moran

Tina Katherine B. Scimeca Moran was born April 25th, 1918 and died at 96 years of age peacefully in her sleep. She is preceded in death by her parents, Sam Scimeca and Mary Pasquale Scimeca, siblings, Joseph, Nick, Frank, Frances, Josephine and Mary, her spouse Batiste Moran and daughter Angela Gremillion, numerous nieces and nephews. Tina grew up in a very traditional Italian family. She married Batiste and was blessed with three children, Carl, Angela and Sam. She was married for 63 years and is remembered for her devotion to her husband and children. She remained dedicated to reciting the rosary, making rosaries and requesting to watch or listen to the Catholic Mass daily. People often asked her to pray for them. She was a prayer warrior, constantly praying for her children, grandchildren, family and friends. She kept a notebook to remember in prayer all who asked her. Her grandchildren often teased that she had a “direct line to Jesus”. To her grandchildren, she was known as MoMo Tina. She was always present at the large family gatherings, ready with certain specialty dishes that everyone looked forward to. She is survived by 8 grandchildren, Carla Dispenza, Michael Moran, Doug and Duane Gremillion, Mary Stovall, , Gina Leyrer, Jeff and Christopher Moran, 20 great grandchildren, Caterina Nicole Landry ,Michael Dispenza, Angela Hedrick, Jason , Justin and Scott Gremillion, Aimee Poole, Jeanne Gravios, Jennifer Glissman, , Matthew Gremillion , Thomas Korkosz , and Aaron Gremillion , Sam , Jeff, Grace and Anna Leyrer, , Heather, Hannah, Zeke and Dakota Moran and 13 great- great grandchildren- Zoe Graham, Derrick and Jesse Hedrick, Allie, Tiffany , and Kyle Poole, Olivia and Anna Gremillion, Travis Glissman ,Brooks Landry, Collyns and Beau Leyrer, Evelyn Gremillion, numerous nieces and nephews. The family would like to thank Caring Angels for their extraordinary dedication and compassion, especially to Fredricka “Dee” Keller-Netters, our special angel family member. Visitation at Green Oaks on Monday, November 24th, wake from 5-9 PM and recitation of the Rosary at 7:00 PM. Visitation at Our Lady of Mercy Catholic Church continued on Tuesday November 25th from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 AM. Interment at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
