Theresa Vicaro Spedale

Theresa SpedaleHeaven has gained a new angel, all decked out in purple and gold.Theresa Vicaro Spedale passed away at her home on Sunday, February 1, 2015, after a lengthy battle with liver cancer.  She was 81 years old.  A lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, she was born on December 5, 1933.  She was a proud graduate of University High School class of 1951, and of Louisiana State University in 1955.She worked for her Uncle, Dr. Joseph G. Nasca for over 40 years.  She was an avid sports fan, but she particularly loved cheering for her beloved LSU tigers in every sport, especially football and baseball.Theresa is survived by her loving husband of 57 years, William A. (Billy) Spedale, her three daughters, Terri Spedale Daly and husband John Daly, Janel Spedale Willett and longtime companion Bill McCarthy of Alameda, California, and Mari Spedale Rhinehart and husband Bill Rhinehart of The Woodlands, Texas, and three grandchildren, William Zachary Atkinson, Sarah Elizabeth Rhinehart and Caytlin Alexandra Daly.  She is also survived by sisters Jo Ann Vicaro Mancuso and Rosemary Vicaro Wofford.She is preceeded in death by her parents Joseph Paul Vicaro and Mary Territo Vicaro, and two sisters, Cecile Vicaro Lee and Virgie Vicaro Broussard.Visitation will be on Thursday, February 5, 2015, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home (825 Government Street, Baton Rouge, LA  70802) from 5:00 until 9:00 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM officiated by her cousin, Father David Allen.Special thanks to all our family and friends for their continuous support and prayers throughout this difficult time.  Also thanks to Dr. Patrick Stagg and his staff and to the wonderful caregivers at Audubon Home Health and St. Joseph Hospice.  They have been angels here on earth.The family asks that in lieu of flowers, please make donations to the American Diabetes Association and the American Cancer Society, or other charities.Words of comfort to the family atwww.rabenhorst.com/" target="_blank" rel="nofollow">http://www.rabenhorst.com/">www.rabenhorst.com
