Susan “Dianne” Harris Thornton, a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Baker, passed away on September 29, 2011 at the age of 60. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother, who will be greatly missed by friends and family. Dianne had a passion for reading and music, and enjoyed the hobby of ceramics and cross-stitching. She is survived by her husband of 19 years, Marcus Thornton; three sons: Mike Riles, Keith Riles and wife Kim, and Chad Riles and wife Brandi; one stepson, Joey Thornton and wife Libby; two step daughters: Kristen Naquin and husband Will, and Marsha Thornton; two sisters: Patty Jackson and Rhonda Hernandez; two brothers: Danny Harris and wife Kathy, and Toney Harris and wife Brenda; and 15 grandchildren: Chad Riles Jr., Katelyn Riles, Cameron Riles, Kaitlyn Page, Catheryne Haselden, Emily Grace Riles, Colby Riles, Jeffery Riles, Brett Riles, Mark Naquin, Cody Naquin, Bryce Naquin, Kristopher Naquin, Addysen Thornton, and Deven Temple. She is preceded in death by her parents, Jessie and Sarah Harris; three uncles: Ray Forrest, Earl Forrest, and Wendel Forrest; nephew, Danny “Bubba” Harris Jr.; and grandson, Joseph Blaine Thornton. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home in Baton Rouge on Sunday October 2, 2011 from 6-9pm and on Monday October 3, 2011 from 10am until service time at noon.
