Stella Bonaventure Bossom

Stella worked for DOTD for 35 years but first and foremost she was a loving and devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She always gave more than she had and was always there for others. Stella was an avid LSU fan and enjoyed watching her grandkids play sports.

She is survived by her daughters, Tammy Heard (Troy), Ashleigh Starnes (Jason); son, Lon Bossom (Tammy Forrest); grandchildren, Kamryn Bossom, Brennan Heard, Ashley Forrest, Justin Starnes, and Hunter Heard; her cousin, who she thought of as a sister, Theresa Puperpa; and numerous nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her husband, Morris Bossom; parents, Clarence and Estella David Bonaventure; and her brothers, Daniel, Alton, and Lawrence Bonaventure.

Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70815, on Friday, December 1, 2023 from 9 am until funeral service at 11 am. Burial will follow in Immaculate Conception Cemetery, 12369 LA-416, Lakeland, LA 70752 at 3 pm. Pallbearers will be: Jason Starnes, Troy Heard, Brennan Heard, Michael Fortie, Brandan Fortie, Aaron Fortie, Guy Pupera, Todd Lemoine, and Justin Starnes.
