Ruby Agnes Cambre

A loving and generous mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, she died on Monday morning, November 25, 2013. She was 82, born in Algiers on February 24, 1931. She was a member of St. Gerard Majella Parish, where she was a member of the Altar Rosary Society and sang in the choir. She was a selfless volunteer with many charities and organizations, among them were the Society of St. Vincent de Paul and the Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, where she served as Den Mother. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St, on Friday evening, November 29, 2013, from 5pm until 9pm, with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary at 7pm. Visitation will resume on Saturday morning at 9am and will continue until funeral service at 10am. A graveside service will follow at 12pm at Prairieville Cemetery in Prairieville, LA. She is survived by her 5 children and their spouses: Christine and Robert Fleener of Carmichael, CA, Ronnie and Karen Cambre, Elaine and Harry Branch of Many, LA, Greg and Anita Cambre, and David Cambre and Elaine Dunn. She is also survived by her brother, Bill Muller and his wife Sue, 12 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles A. Cambre; her parents, Joachim H.W. and Ina Muller; and her brother, Herbie Muller.
