She was born in Hammond Louisiana July 3, 1929. She met her beloved husband, Roland Douglas (Buddy) Lee while they were attending LSU. They were married and began raising a family of six children. She lost her Buddy August 13, 2004. We are sure he was waiting with open arms to welcome her to heaven. Their love was strong and they shared many adventures. They camped and boated, and welcomed spouses for their children and many grandchildren together.
Rosemarie (Rose) is remembered by those who are blessed to know her as witty, fun, kind, and loving. She loved her garage sales and everyone remember so well how she had the best brown bag Christmas presents. No one was left out, even boyfriends and girlfriends and extra children. So many thoughtful gifts were given which she shopped for all year around. She lovingly matched everyone’s personality and interests. She made an impact on anyone who met her. She had many friends and pets who loved being around her. Nothing was more important to her than family. She was an amazing mother and grandmother, then great grandmother, then great great grandmother.
She loved walking and yoga, practicing well into her 80s. Her adventurous spirit took her on trips to Scotland and Paris, and many places in the US. She never said no to anything. She hiked and partied and even parasailed.
She was a devout Catholic, who was an example of her faith. She loved without judgment, accepted and encouraged and supported her children and their children through their ups and downs, always with love. Heaven will be even more delightful with this beautiful soul. We will miss her deeply.
She was preceded in death by her mother and father and husband, Buddy Lee. Left to cherish her memory are her six children, Lisa Hamilton, (Wally), Ann Lee, Sally Spell, (Billy), Susan Haydel, (Justin), Doug Lee, (Traci) and David Lee, (Wendy, 18 grandchildren 27 great grandchildren with one on the way, and three great great grandchildren, with three more on the way.
