Ronald Sanders Black, 90, passed away peacefully at Plaquemine Caring on Thursday morning December 4, 2014. He was born February16, 1924. Ronald was a native of Barnwell, SC. Visitation will be Saturday December 6 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St, Baton Rouge, from 9 - 11 am with services to follow at 11 am. Ronald is survived by his loving wife of 57 years, Lucille Gibson Black; daughters, Marie Vanderpool of Charleston, SC and Rhonda Gielen of Prairieville; four sons, Ronnie Black of Charleston, SC; Roger Black of Port Allen; Paul Black and wife Lori of Port Allen; and Scott Black and wife Myra of Prairieville; one sister, Jeanne Knight of Barnwell, SC. He leaves behind 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. His mother, Marie Black, and his father, Sanders Black, preceded him in death. Pall Bearers: Nathan Black, Nicholas Black, Scotty Black, Beau Acosta, John Gibson, Sonny Weathers. Ronald was a US Navy Veteran serving during WWII. He was founder of Black's Auto Salvage, Brusly, LA 45 years ago.
