Pierce, Sr. Robert Adam"I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith."Robert Adam Pierce Sr. passed away Wednesday, January 27, 2016 at the age of 74. He was a native of Middletown, New York and a resident of Baton Rouge. Robert was proud member of the United States Marine Corps where he was Honorably Discharged with the rank of Corporal. He is survived by his loving wife; Beverly Dino Pierce, daughters; Michele Marie Skrintney, Cynthia Ann Pierce, Jodi Lynn Michaelson, Amber Rena Armond and Alyssa Cheyenne Pierce, sons-in-law; Jim Skrintney and Dr. Frederic Michaelson, sisters; Mary Ann Pierce Slater, Debbie Gorton Clayton and Sandra Gorton, a brother; Adam H. Pierce, grandchildren; Nichole Skrintney, Quinton James Skrintney and Devin Robert Skrintney, great-grandchildren; Samuel David Skrintney and Angela Grace Skrintney. He was preceded in death by his parents; Adam S. and Anna P. Pierce and a sister; Sharon Gorton Gerow. Visitation will be Monday, February 1, 2016 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Prairieville, LA starting at 10:00am until the Mass of Christian Burial at 11:30 am presided by Rev. Jerry Martin, followed by interment in the Louisiana National Cemetery in Zachary. Pallbearers will be; Jim Skrintney, Frederic Michaelson, Quinton Skrintney, Devin Skrintney, Cynthia Pierce and Alyssa Pierce. Robert was an usher at St. John the Evangelist, a McQuoid Volunteer Firefighter, he also enjoyed the outdoors, camping and gardening.
