Rene’ Francis Uzee was born in New Orleans, LA, on February 28, 1960, to Francis “Slim” and Loretta Uzee. As a longtime resident of Ethel, LA, his battle with cancer ended on February 26, 2024, two days before his 64th birthday. Rene’ was a member of Zachary Community Church. He was also the owner of Forum Salon, where he retired after 47 years, and the author of Yellow Jack. Rene’ was an artist, hairdresser, writer, chef, avid outdoorsman, and had a love for gardening. He had a passion for animals and played a part in Must Luv Dogs rescue, where he rescued his pup, Trooper.
Most importantly, Rene’ loved to spend time with his friends and family. Rene’ never met a stranger. If he did, after talking with Rene’ the other person left feeling like he was a best friend. Rene’ touched the lives of many with his kindness, generosity, and unwavering spirit. He was a warrior and a fighter. After bravely battling cancer for 17 years, he never lost optimism, inspiring everyone with his faith, resilience, and strength.
