Paul Joseph Imhoff

"A native of Philadelphia, PA and a resident of Baton Rouge, Paul Imhoff passed away on January 25, 2019, at the age of 64. Paul was at his happiest when surrounded by his family. He especially looked forward to the holidays or his wife Bunny's famous taco night when he could have his family gathered around the table having a great time and cutting up. He was exceptionally proud of his two granddaughters, Paige and Reagan, and would tell anybody that would listen about their acting, teaching or LSU sports training fields. He never missed one of Paige's plays and would stay glued to the LSU football games looking to catch a glimpse of Reagan on the sidelines. While he was semi-retired from years of working as a route supervisor and transportation manager, he loved working part time with his daughter, Nikki, constructing stages, lighting and all other aspects of concerts and other traveling entertainment options in the area. Paul loved Lionel trains and would spend hours at a time piddling and building amazing train dioramas that literally took up entire rooms complete with home-made mountains, streets, cities and landscapes. He put MacGyver to shame with his creativity and ability to turn a cardboard box, sponge, and a paint brush into a world class model railroad layout. His work made it into various international train and toy model magazines. Paul was a true fighter until he had the strength to fight no more. He is survived by his wife, Bonita "Bunny" Imhoff; his daughter, M. Nikki Imhoff; and his step-son, John D. Skidmore, all of Baton Rouge. He is also survived by his brother, Robert Imhoff of Prairieville; his mother, Lucille Imhoff of Baton Rouge; his granddaughters: Paige J. Skidmore and Reagan C. Skidmore, both of Baton Rouge; and his nephew, James Imhoff of Prairieville. He is preceded in death by his father, Jack R. Imhoff. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Saturday, February 2, 2019, from 9am until service at 11am. Burial will follow at Resthaven Gardens of Memory, 11817 Jefferson Hwy. Serving as Pallbearers will be James Imhoff, Blake Thompson, Rob Rabalais, Steve Pourciau, Tommy Barnes, and Louis Stellabotte. Special thanks to his physicians, Dr. Laurel Hastings and Dr. Emily Cassidy; and to the entire nursing staff of the CVT at Our Lady of the Lake hospital for their care and compassion.
