Ross, Olive NeamesA homemaker and resident of Central, Olive Neames Ross died at home of natural causes at 2:15 am Monday, August 24, 2015. She was 89, a native of Baton Rouge an former resident of Liberty, MS. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Friday, August 28, 2015 from 5 pm until 8 pm. Visitation resumes on Saturday, August 29, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, 213 E Blalock Circle, Liberty, MS from 9 am until religious services at 11 am conducted by Merrill Blalock. Burial will follow in Blalock Cemetery in Liberty. She is survived by her daughter, Sharon Ross Ougel and husband Stephen of Liberty; son, Darrell S. Ross and wife Ronda of Brandon, MS; a special niece, Pamela Meyers of Springfield; a foster daughter, JoAnn Wall Moorman of Liberty; special friend, Maria Munoz of Burleson, TX; eleven grandchildren, twenty-four great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild and one expected in December. Olive was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-two years, Charles William Ross, Jr.; son, Charles Maurice "Butch" Ross; and grandson, Dewayne Woodrow Ross. Pallbearers will be Walter DuVernay, Scott McGowan, Stephen Ougel, Cameron Ross, Max Spears and Ross Spears. Honorary pallbearers will be Charles Aidren Ross, her grandson and constant companion, and Jon Neames and Murray Neames. She graduated as valedictorian of her Central High School class and she loved to cook, sew, work crossword puzzles and spend time with her family and friends.
