"Michael Forrest McCauley of Baton Rouge went to be with our Lord on Friday, October 7th 2016 at 60 years of age. He is survived by his loving wife of 8 years, Sarah Betz McCauley; two sons, Eric and Geoffery and one daughter, Rachel McCauley. Brothers Mac McCauley (Sharon) of Winchester, Virginia and Thomas McCauley of Front Royal, Virginia; sister Carrie Snow (Jay) of Toms Brook, Virginia; numerous nieces and nephews, and countless dear friends. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry Franklin McCauley Jr. and Alice Frederick. Mike was the owner of Bayou Tobacco- a longstanding business in our community where many entered as strangers, but left as friends. He was also a Road Tech for Pop-A-Lock of Baton Rouge. An LSU graduate, Mike was passionate about his Tigers, the Red Sox, fine tobacco, and history. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, Sunday, October 16, 2016, from 9:00am-l1:00am. A memorial service will be held immediately following, officiated by Deacon Brent Duplessis. Honorary pallbearers will be friends of the shop known as "The Committee".
