Michael Wade Guidry

Michael Wade Guidry, born on December 4, 1967, passed away on July 22, 2023, at the age of 55. From an early age, Wade had a talented inclination towards music and visual art. His innate gift for creativity led him to pursue and receive a degree from The Art Institute of Pittsburgh. His soulful melodies on the guitar had the power to captivate and move those who listened, and his artwork was a beautiful reflection of his rich inner world. Wade's creations served as a testament to his passion for life and his ability to express profound emotions through his artistry. Wade's skillful airbrush and graphic art will be cherished by those lives he touched from coast to coast.

Beyond his artistic and musical pursuits, Wade held a special place in his heart for his loyal German Shepherds, fostering and adopting through Red Stick German Shepherd Rescue. He was a devoted companion to his four-legged friends, and they, in turn, brought immeasurable joy and love into his life. Wade's bond with his German Shepherds was a source of comfort and solace, and he cherished every moment spent with them.

He is survived by his life partner of 21 years, Theresa Balentine, his mother, Olga U. Guidry, siblings, Michele "Missy" Guidry and Harold Guidry (wife Amy), his step-children, Morgan McGlone (wife Susie) and Darbi Kaltakdjian (husband Shahe), and his loving aunt, Pat Heller. He will be deeply missed by his four grandchildren, Dean, River, Owen, and Olive, as well several uncles, aunts and cousins. He is preceded in death by his father, Michael Arnold Guidry, and his grandmother, Latie "Besta" Ussing.

A celebration of life will be held on August 12, 2023, from 3 to 5 pm at the Unitarian Church of Baton Rouge located at 8470 Goodwood Blvd, Baton Rouge, LA 70806.
