Melanie Bonfanti

Melanie Bonfanti, passed away on October 11, 2022 at the age of 36. She leaves behind to cherish her memory, her two children, Ian Anthony Bonfanti and Hallie Grace Bonfanti; her mother, Donna Thomason Bonfanti; two brothers, Shawn Bonfanti (Hanh Thi Thai) and Greg Bonfanti; grandmother, Betty Thomason; uncles, George and John Bonfanti, John Thomason (Melissia) and Gary Thomason (Pam); father of her children, Gene Dinino; and numerous cousins and friends. She was preceded in death by her father, Samuel Bonfanti; grandparents, Keith Thomason, and Anthony Bonfanti and Mary Corrent Bonfanti Percy; and her uncle, AJ Bonfanti.

She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend. Melanie graduated from Faith Christian High School and attended the University of New Orleans and Baton Rouge Community College. She loved art and style and directed her attention to drawing and fashion creation. Most of all, she dearly loved her children. She guided, consoled, and played with them endlessly. She was quick to shower them with surprises. Tiny trinkets and candy were hidden in secret spots so they could be handed out to the children for almost any reason. She will be greatly miss by all who knew and loved her.

A memorial gathering will be held at Our Lady of Mercy on Thursday, October 20, 2022, from 9 am until Mass of Christian Burial at 10 am. Inurnment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park. Please visit www.greenoaksfunerals.com to leave condolences to the family.
