"Mackie, a loving husband, father and grandfather passed away November 18, 2018 in Baton Rouge. He was born May 6, 1935 in Denham Springs and was the owner of Robinson Brothers Ford Lincoln. He was 83. Visiting will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government Street, Wednesday, November 21, 2018 after 10 am until religious services at 1 pm in the funeral home chapel conducted by Reverend Becky Poor. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Mausoleum. Mackie is survived by his wife of 36 years, Bobbie Sue Robinson; sons, Maxwell Gerald "Chip" Robinson, III and wife, Sandi, Wade Randolph and wife Tracey, John Randolph and wife Tina, and Mark Randolph and wife Rachael; daughter, Rene' Robinson Armata; grandchildren, Maxwell Gerald Robinson, IV, London McCall Robinson, Andrew Randolph, Audrey Randolph, Ava Randolph, Heike' Robbins and husband Trey, and Heather Antosiak; four great grandchildren; and a brother, Bill Robinson. Mackie is preceded in death by his parents Mackie Robinson, Sr. and Myrtle McCoy Robinson. Mackie was a longtime active community member and supported numerous charitable organizations. He was an avid golfer, a member of Baton Rouge Country Club. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Battle Against Autism, 11455 Airline Highway, Baton Rouge, 70816 or to a charity of your choice.
