Marion P. Hymel passed away at home on Monday, July 26, 2021, in Denham Springs, LA, at the age of 96. He was born on August 30, 1924 in White Castle, LA, and moved to Baton Rouge at 18. Marion was a retired Process Operator from Copolymer Corp. Plant. He is survived by his son, Carey M. Hymel of Denham Springs; 4 stepchildren, Gail Culotta, Johnny Bercegeay, Gwen Holley, and Mark DeBate; sisters, Evelyn Gautreaux of Baker and Barbara Bergeron of White Castle; brothers, Larry Hymel of White Castle and Ted Hymel of Baton Rouge; 3 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, and numerous step grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 38 years, Ann Evelyn Bourgeois Hymel; son, Stephen Hymel; parents, Paul and Lucille Landry Hymel; 5 brothers, Lonnie, Jerry, Paul Jr, Rodney, Winton, and Ruddy. A visitation for Marion will be held on Friday, July 30, at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East (11000 Florida Blvd) from 10 am to noon. Burial will be at Greenoaks Memorial Park at a later date.
