Linda Sue Thibodeaux, passed away on June 3, 2021, at the age of 77. A long-time resident of Baton Rouge, Linda was born in Iowa, on April 22, 1944. Linda valued her time with friends and family more than anything. She especially loved her children. After working for LADOTD for many years, she enjoyed her time teaching the 3 year old classes at Sugar Babies in Central. Linda may have loved her Mexican food, but there was nothing she loved more than a Margarita.
She is survived by her daughters, Ginny McElveen (Mark), and Jodi Morazan (Dennis); grandchildren, Chris, Jesse, Malcolm (Katie), Kacen, and Kylie; great-grandchildren, Ella Claire, Elijah, and John Levi; sisters, Kathie Longmire, Peggy Edwards, and Lou-An Hamlin; and brother, Billy Hamlin. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles “Chuck” and Virginia Wolfkill Hamlin; and brother, John Hamlin.
A memorial gathering will be held on June 5, 2021 from 10:00 a.m. until time of service at 2:00 p.m. at Greenoaks Funeral Home (9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, LA 70815).
The family would like to express a special thanks to the doctors, nurses, and staff of Our Lady of the Lake’s Neuro-Critical Care Unit.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked for donations to be made in Linda’s name to Our Lady of the Lake Children’s Hospital.
