Kenneth "Kenny" Leo Wells

Kenneth Leo “Kenny” Wells, a native of Pensacola, Florida and a resident of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, departed the planet on April 1, 2023, leaving no itinerary as to his next destination within the cosmos. Kenny would like to let you know that his work here is done. He received a call, an offer he could not refuse, for an appointment from which he will not be returning. This assignment comes with a huge sign-on bonus, a reunion with family and friends he has not seen in a long time. Kenny experienced a full life, enjoyed the company of family and friends and left with the knowledge that our short existence on earth is what each of us makes of it. His tenure was quite a ride. He loved his family and the ride to the maximum extent a person could, and so did his family and extended family. He is survived by his wife Diana Wells, daughter Cinamon Higbee (Chip); sons Lad Wells (Nita) and Brennan Wells (Kristen); sister Ellen Anson (John) and brother David Wells (Lynn); grandchildren Carter, Leighton Higbee; Elijah Hudson, Lincoln Wells, Kenneth Luc Wells, and a Wells grandchild arriving in September. He is preceded in death by his parents Kenneth and Mary Wells (Pensacola, Fla.); in-laws Robert and Meredith Lewins. He attended the St. Stephens School, Catholic High in Pensacola, Fla., and graduated from LSU in 1970. There will be a graveside service at Roselawn Memorial Park on Wednesday, April 12, 2023 at 2pm. The family requests donations be made to the LSU AgCenter Botanic Gardens, or a charity of your choice in Kenny’s memory. The Wells-Higbee families ask you to have your favorite beverage and join us in a toast to our Kenny. We wish you all health and happiness.
