Kathryn Trichel Bond

A retired school teacher, a graduate of LSU and loving family member and friend, Kitty was born in 1920 and died Monday, Oct. 4, 2010, at 90 years old. A native of Harrisonburg and resident of Baton Rouge, she loved to fish and laugh and visit with family and friends. Visitation at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd., Wednesday, Oct. 6, from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Visitation at St. Luke's Episcopal Church on Thursday from 11 a.m. until religious service at noon. Interment in Greenoaks Memorial Park. She is survived by a daughter, Judy Sweeney; son, Richard Bond, of New Orleans; granddaughters, Kim Carroll and Emily Robert; and great-grandchildren, Grant and Camille Carroll; sister, Joyce Faye Martin, of Winnsboro; and many loving nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Richard Ezra "Izzy" Bond; mother and father, Sarah Estelle and Joseph Mortimer Trichel; brothers, Dr. Burdette Trichel and Joseph Shelton Trichel; and sisters, Sarah Geraldine McHale and Audrey Lea Gibson. Pallbearers will be Joe Bond, Bill McHale, Conard Gaither, Jim Hooper and Bobby McHale. Honorary pallbearers are Steve Gibson and Joe Gibson. She was a member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church.
