Joseph Raymond Ferguson “Ray” passed away on Monday, December 16, 2024, just shy of his 87th birthday on December 23, 1937. He was a proud graduate of Catholic High School, Class of 1956, and LSU. Ray is survived by is children, Sharon Lynn Figueroa (Edward) of Dallas, TX, and Michael Ray Ferguson (Kelly Kantz) of D’Iberville, MS; grandchildren, Samuel (Sharonda), Jacob Figueroa (Cathryn), Nathan Figueroa (Yesenia), Jade Ferguson, and Stone Ferguson, all of the Dallas area, and Jordan Garrett of Nashville, TN; numerous great-grandchildren and another one on the way; former wife, Phyllis Daigle Ferguson; and nephew, Mark Ferguson. Ray is preceded in death by his parents, John Murry, Sr. and Henrietta Mae Martinez Ferguson; brother, John Murry Ferguson, Jr.; and nephew, Paul Ferguson. There will be a graveside service at Greenoaks Memorial Park, 9595 Florida Blvd., Baton Rouge, LA, on his 87th birthday, on Monday, December 23, 2024, at 2pm.
