Hey Darren xox We miss you and think of you often. I wish we would have capitalized on getting together more often. You are loved and missed but never forgotten. 

Darren has been on our minds and in our hearts a lot this past week. Joseph and I had no idea it was the one year anniversary of his passing. Time moves so fast. Our hearts and prayers go out to his surviving family and those close to him. Darren was (and still is) loved and missed greatly. Fare seas, shipmate xo

One of my oldest and dearest friends, Darren was one of a kind. Over the years he was a constant in my life. I count myself blessed and honored to call him friend. You will be missed man. 

Darren, little brother what can I say. You kept the peace between us siblings (4 girls), brother that’s a Miracle in itself. You always wanted to try and walk in Dad’s footsteps...bc Dad was your Idol. But what you didn’t understand Darren is you Surpassed & Walked Equally beside our Dad. He was So Proud of You & your creativity, computer genius mind, ideas; ahead of many many individuals but with a smile, a kindness and a tender heart (Yes) I said tender. I can never come close to being the person you were with your computer whiz awesomeness, selflessness  & giving to any one person; no matter race, gender, etc. You didn’t even have to know them! When I call I know you will be watching over me. You will Never Be Forgotten, until we meet again Rest Easy Little Brother. Love Always Ur Big Sis Lorie.

I met Darren back in the Precambrian at the bookstore, where we were all disgruntled Barnes&Noblians together.  He was always one of my favorite people to talk to: smart, witty, and not afraid to be provocative provided it made or proved a point.

After I left and moved on career-wise, we got together a few times here and there, but always stayed in contact via social media.  I had kids and it got hard to be cool and unfettered.  He wanted me to be on his Neo and Wim show as a female counterpart, but I usually had screaming children in the background -not conducive to intelligent or belligerent discourse.

He always was steadfast in his ways, not afraid to challenge even his friends when he thought they were full of merde.  He might have thrown grenades in their general direction, but he did it with intelligence and respect.  That is a rare commodity in this day and age.

I am so saddened to hear about his loss.  My thoughts are with his family and very close friends, that they may all find some  sort of peace.


You are my best friend. Your memory will not be forgotten. Thank you for being you, a man of honor, loyalty, and love. I will forever appreciate you. 

Carla, I am so sorry for the loss of your brother.  I pray for comfort and peace and time to heal.   Please know that I am keeping you and your family in my prayers and that if I can do anything, please do not hesitate to let me know.  Ann & Jillian    

I also met Darren at Trinity in Brusly and we immediately hit it off due to our love for music and wrestling. We also loved Game of Thrones and would have GOT talks every Monday. We both loved Comic-Con and movies and loved our comic movies. He was always smiling and making people laugh. Darren would do anything for you to help you out. The world needs more genuine people like him in it. Knowing he is gone has made the world less fun and enjoyable to be in. From laughing about our 80's hair........Flock of Seagulls! to Ramsey Bolton to DC vs Marvel it just won't be the same without you buddy. 

I was one of his co-workers at Trinity in Brusly [one of his Safety Representatives], and we had many good and not so good days at the site. He and I always shared a love for heavy metal music and pro westling. I remember him going to an Anthrax show one night at the Varsity in B.R. when I could not go, and he bought me back a band tour T-Shirt, which I still wear to this day.  I tried to stay in touch with him on FB after Trinity closed. I'm going to miss him. My condolences to his family and friends.

My first memory of you was when Marc Adams and I met up with you to see Beerfest. I'll always remember how you took off running up the aisle when "Every Rose Has It's Thorn" came on the screen (due to a personal joke between you and Marc). You always were a great friend to both Marc and I. You were our best man at our wedding. You cat sat our fur baby Thumbelina on multiple occasions.  You were always down for anything from playing D&D to watching movies to going to Waffle House at 2am. You are one of a kind. I'm so sorry that life took us down different paths when Marc and I moved to NW Arkansas and that we weren't as close as we once were. I know that you're in God's arms now and all your worries and pain are gone. We love you bro. Until we meet again....

Dear Darren,

I wish we had more time to visit you and have you in our lives. I’m sorry we didn’t visit as often as we would have liked. You are a Navy brother and a blessing of a friend. You always made me feel welcome and I enjoyed our conversations. Joseph always had a great time gaming with you and we all loved your stories and your perspectives on politics, pop culture, and just catching up with you in general. I hope you know just how much you are loved and missed. I pray that God holds you close and gives you His favor for all time and eternity. Tears have been shed in your memory. Prayers have been given. You will always be in our hearts.

Darren, William Smith and I had a very memorable trip together to California ComicCon. Just that one trip yielded several stories and memories I’ll enjoy forever. We had several discussions about everything from politics to the paranormal. He’d call up from time to time just to chat and laugh. That laugh of his - I’ll always smile when I remember it. He was intelligent, funny, and a true blue friend. May Almighty God, through His infinite grace, smile upon you and call you “Son.” May you know everlasting peace and love, brother.

I was very fortunate to have met this genuine soul. He introduced himself as Neo. We were at the babylon my band War Rig a mad max themed metal outfit. shortly after he notified us he had wreck due to a road collapsing out from under his vehicle while listening to our CD. He was a character.  May he Rest and all things be known to him. He is a loss to us and a Gain to the heavens.
