John was born to Edward N. Lambremont and Jane A. Lambremont on December 9, 1956 in Columbus, Ohio. He graduated from Lee High School in Baton Rouge, and graduated from LSU with a Bachelor’s in English and Juris Doctorate of the Law. He married Nhu Y Hau on October 4, 1980 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. An avid fighter for the working class against corporations, he practiced as an attorney at his own law firm for over 35 years, a law practice that over the course of his life he worked and shared with the entire family and placed in the trusted hands of his son, Paul. Later in life, John returned to what he felt was his true calling in creative writing, fulfilling a lifelong dream of becoming a poet. He published numerous volumes of poetry, with his works accepted in poetry reviews across the world, nominated for the prestigious Pushcart Prize, and culminating in the founding of his own poetry review, The Big River Review. An avid lover of music, movies, books and eclectic things, John accumulated storied collections of vinyl, CDs, books, silver and vintage Hollywood autographs, his collections only surpassed by the wealth of information John possessed surrounding each piece of memorabilia. He passionately loved LSU sports, golfing, fishing, playing with his grandchildren, and anything related to food, including the quest for the perfect real pit BBQ, cracklins, or authentic Asian cuisine.
John is preceded in death by his parents Edward N. Lambremont and Jane A. Lambremont, and parent in laws Trung Han Hau and Hoa Thi Phan.
