"Harry Arden Todd, Jr. passed away after a short struggle with cancer on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the age of 66, a native of Shreveport and a resident of Greenwell Springs. Harry was a graduate of LSU and a retired state employee with over 43 years of service under the Division of Administration. He was a gifted and talented musician on numerous instruments but especially the trumpet and cornet. He was an avid environmentalist with a love of nature; his main hobbies included canoeing and kayaking, also a longtime member of the Bayou Haystackers and the Sierra Club. Music was his passion, especially the blues and soul music. He is survived by his wife of 42 years; Lana Cantrell Todd, daughter; Carrie Todd Yelverton and spouse Eric, granddaughters; Aubrey Dale Yelverton and Camryn Elizabeth Yelverton, brother; Victor A. Todd and spouse Cindy, sisters-in-law; Terry Seal and Janice O'Connor and numerous nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews and great- great nieces and nephews along with cousins and many good friends. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry A.Todd,Sr. and Robbie Samuelson Todd, sister; Trudy Nannette Todd and brother; Michael Flynn Todd. Visiting will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East 11000 Florida Blvd. on Sunday, November 6, 2016 from 2:00pm until 4:00pm. Honorary pallbearers will be; Greg Blair, Scott Blair, Brent Misita, George O'Connor, Jr., Vic Todd, Jr., Rusty Todd and Michael Todd, Jr. Donations in Harry's name may be made to the Michael J. Fox Parkinson's Foundation or Hospice of Baton Rouge. Special thanks to the care and compassion shown by Hospice of Baton Rouge.
