Grace Richard

Lillian “Grace” Richard, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, July 16, 2013 surrounded by her family at the age of 81. She was a retired Licensed Practical nurse at Baton Rouge General’s Emergency Room and was a long time member of St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church. Grace was most proud of her family and her whole life revolved around taking care of them. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother who will be missed dearly by all who knew her. She is survived by her loving husband of 64 years, Joseph “J.B” Richard Sr.; sister, Olga Althans; children, Joseph B. “Chip” Richard Jr., and wife Michele, David R. Richard and wife Ann, Carl E. Richard Sr. and wife Brenda, Ann Perrin and husband Jerry Sr., Aubrey Richard and wife Valerie, Mary Richard, Jimmy Richard and wife Lori, and Deanne Richard; grandchildren, Joseph B. Richard III, Keri Nicole Richard, Rob Murray, Monika Harris, Todd Jackson, Carl E. Richard Jr., Janelle Verbois, Jerry Perrin Jr., Kathy Blanchard, Amy Perrin, Amanda Rufini, Emily Richard, Brooke Richard, Carter Richard, Cameron Richard, and Grace Richard; great grandchildren, Cody Richard, Mason Richard, Caleb Richard, Madelyn Adcock, Ella Adcock, Cooper Harris, Andrew Harris, Luke Jackson, Alex Jackson, Andrew Richard, Abigail Weeks, Benjamin Verbois, Dylan Verbois, Kenleigh Perrin, Karson Perrin, Jules Perrin, Parker Blanchard, Dalton Rufini, and Emil Rufini. Grace is preceded in death by her parents, Olga and Aubrey Althans; and brother, Aubrey Althans Jr. Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home on Thursday, July 18, 2013 from 5pm until 9pm with the rosary beginning at 6pm, and resume Friday, July 19, 2013 at St. Gerard Majella Catholic Church from 11am until Catholic Funeral at 1:00pm. Interment will follow in Greenoaks Memorial Park.
