"Frances Harris Harvey, a native of Blossburg, AL and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA, passed away on June 9, 2017 at the age of 98. Frances was active in the Louisiana League of Women Voters in the 1950's and 1960's, and was a member of University Methodist Church from 1941 to 2017. She loved to travel with her husband, Clarence, and collected rocks from the 48 states where she traveled. She is survived by her son, George M. Harvey of Lafayette, LA; grandchildren, Sara Harvey Boudreaux of Lafayette, David Harvey of Houston, TX, and Rachel Harvey of Lake Charles, LA; great-grandchild, Hayden Boudreaux of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her husband, Clarence C. Harvey, and her son, Douglas P. Harvey. Visitation will be Saturday, June 24, 2017 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home Downtown, 825 Government St., Baton Rouge, from 10:00 a.m. until a Memorial Service at 12:00 noon. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
