Edward Dewitt Lawrence, 89 of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, passed away on January 18, 2024. He was born in Ruth, Mississippi to William S. and Virginia Lawrence. A retired artist, Edward loved to travel as a crafter of porcelain and oil paints. He was a member of the Greensburg Baptist Church, where he served as Honored Deacon Emeritus. Edward was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, and friend who found great joy in his faith, family, art, and serving his church community.
Edward was preceded in death by his parents, William S. and Virginia Lawrence; the love of his life and wife, Libby Lawrence; son, Tom Lawrence; and sister, Patricia Pallanti. He leaves behind to cherish his memory, daughter, Carole Paetz (Charles); two sons, Bill Lawrence (Debra), and Jim Lawrence; sister Mary Caputo; grandchildren, Robyn Miller (Trey), Renee Lawrence, Jena Langan (James), Chad Paetz, Travis Paetz (Cassie), and Crystal Rogers; great-grandchildren Aiden Langan, Mason Langan, Aubrey Paetz, Acacia Paetz, Natalie Reyna, Hannah Reyna, and Zoey Reyna. Edward will be deeply missed by all those that knew him.
