Our heavenly Father brought Danielle home on Monday, July 13, 2015. Danielle, native of Winthrop, MA. and resident of Baton Rouge passed away at the age of 68. She was a graduate of Robert E. Lee High School and attended LSU. She retired from LA State Department of Education as an Accountant. She is survived by her brother, Mike Dellucci and wife Bernadette; nephew, David and his wife Rachel Dellucci; and niece, Kristen Dellucci. She is preceded in death by her parents, A.J. and Angie Curcio Dellucci. She loved her cousins, friends, shopping, cooking, eating, running the roads, and her dogs. She never met a stranger as she always had a smile on her face. She will be remembered for her courageous, lifelong battle with Polio and she was the first poster child for the Shriners Children’s Hospital. In 1952, she was named The Easter Seal Child. She was a member of Baton Rouge Post-Polio Support Group. A special thanks to her dearest friend and confidant Maureen Dupuy. Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2015 at St. Aloysius Catholic Church on Stuart Ave. from 9:30AM until the funeral memorial mass at 10:30AM celebrated by Fr. Josh Johnson. Inurnment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to The Shriners Children’s Hospital in Shreveport, La.
