Cynthia Walters died on October 29, 2021 at the Hospice of Baton Rouge Inpatient Unit following a brief illness. She was born on April 4, 1942 in Baton Rouge to James William and Mae Corcoran Phillips. She was a graduate of LSU and taught at Episcopal High School for many years. She enjoyed chaperoning students on trips to Europe in the summer. She is survived by her brother James Phillips and wife Salli of Baton Rouge, her two nephews James Phillips and wife Lisa and their 3 children and Douglas Phillips and wife Kathryn and their 2 children and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Ken Walters, her parents James and Mae Phillips and her sister-in-law Joyce Phillips. Services will be private for the family. The family would like to express our thanks to the staff of the Butterfly Wing of Hospice of Baton Rouge and the staff who cared for her at Baton Rouge General Bluebonnet.
