Chase McRay Reynolds, resident of Kenner, passed away suddenly on the morning of Saturday, August 2, 2014 at the age of 20. Chase was an incredible young man who touched so many lives. He was an inspiration to countless people, and his life will continue to be an inspiration. Chase had many interests, and his talents spread over a vast array of activities. He was a wonderful writer, winning a competition for a story he submitted through the Youth Challenge Program. He loved football and played for Lutheran High School. Chase acted in a play, and volunteered for Vacation Bible School. He was very intelligent, graduating Valedictorian from the Youth Challenge Program. Chase joined the Louisiana Army National Guard in 2013 and excelled in his service there, due in part to his dad, Jason, teaching him and his brothers about survival skills. He was an infantryman in Company D, 2nd Battalion, 256th Infantry Brigade located in Thibodaux, LA. Chase was advanced to the rank of Specialist in the LA Army National Guard, an honor of which he would have been very proud. To his family he is irreplaceable. His brothers all looked up to him, and they called him their best friend. He especially took great care of his brother Cody, never missing a moment to spend time with him and step in to help whenever he needed. He was a great uncle to his young nephew, and had a natural gift with children. To his friends and acquaintances he was a source of energy, picking them up whenever they were down. Chase had a glowing personality, and always managed to be center of attention. His family and friends will miss him dearly.
