Charles passed away at his home in New Orleans on Friday, April 13, 2012, of natural causes. He was 56. Born the seventh of eight children of Charles and Louise Prosser, he was a unique, talented, and much loved man. He graduated from University High School in Baton Rouge and Springhill College in Mobile, AL, then received a masters degree in college administration from George Washington University in Washington DC. He worked as a college counselor at Springhill College, LSU, LA School for Math&Science and the Arts in Natchitoches, Audi International School and St. Agnes High School in Houston. At the time of his death, he was working at the Lusher School in New Orleans. He was also a graduate of the John Folse Culinary Institute and was a wonderful chef and entertainer. He was dearly loved by all who knew him for his humor, fun-loving nature and zest for life. Charles was preceded in death by his father, Dr. Charles Prosser, and his sister, Mary Prosser Heroman. He is survived by his mother, Louise Peterman Prosser, brother, Dr. Peterman Prosser and wife Peggy, brother-in-law, Fred Heroman and wife Suzie. Also survived by his sisters, Charlene P. Edeline and husband Georges, Laura P. Davis, Marcia P. Johnson and husband Brant, Bunny P. Hines and husband Bill, and Elena P. Moser and husband John, and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews. Visitation at Christ the King Catholic Church on the LSU campus from 1:00 ‚¬" 3:00 PM on Monday, April 16, followed by Mass of Christian burial at 3:00PM. Graveside services to be private. Rabenhorst Funeral Home, 825 Government St., in charge of arrangements.
