Cecil James Pennington passed away Monday, June 13, 2016 at the age of 84, he was a native of Baton Rouge and a resident of Central, LA. Cecil was a veteran of the US Army and served in the Korean War. He is survived by his loving bride of 65 years, Hilda Landry Pennington, a son; Daryl and wife Fran Pennington, a daughter; Bonnie Jeffer and friend Johnny Sanchez, daughter-in-law; Gina Pennington Sterba, grandchildren; Michelle Caston, Michael Pennington, Roman Jeffers, Brandon Pennington, Blake Pennington, Bryan Pennington and Lacey Ball, 15 great-grandchildren and a sister Margaret Howes. He was preceded in death by a son; Ronald J. Pennington, parents; Corrie and Gloria Pennington and a brother; Andrew Pennington. Visitation will be Wednesday, June 15, 2016 at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East 11000 Florida Blvd. starting at 5:00pm until 9:00pm. Visitation will resume Thursday, June 16, 2016 at St. Alphonsus Catholic Church starting at 10:30am until Mass of Christian Burial at 12:00pm celebrated by Rev. Mike Moroney with burial following at Greenoaks Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers please donate to a charity of your choice.
