"Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead (1 Peter 1:3)Camille Tatum Haase, age 91, of Baton Rouge, was called home to be with the Lord on September 30, 2016. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother and friend. Born in Shreveport, Louisiana on January 6, 1925, she later moved to Baton Rouge where she graduated from Baton Rouge High School. She was married to her husband of 54 years, Glen Joseph Haase. Camille was an outstanding mother and grandmother, and spent most of her life caring for her family and the elderly in need. She was a charter member of St. Luke's Episcopal Church and taught Sunday School there for years. She was an excellent seamstress and loved bridge, travel and the movies. Most of all she adored her family, especially her grandsons. Camille is preceded in death by husband and her parents, Miriam Landry and Walter Galloway Tatum and her best friend Jane Conrad. She is survived by her son David Haase and wife Jenny of Cary, North Carolina; daughter Lynne Marye and husband Kit of Baton Rouge; grandsons Glen Haase of Cary; David Marye and wife Audra, Jordan Marye and wife Emily, Peyton Marye and wife Sara, and great-grandchildren Tatum, Griffin, Spencer and Sarah Jane Marye, all of Houston, Texas. Visitation will be at Rabenhorst Funeral Home East, 11000 Florida Blvd, on Saturday, October 8, 2016 from 9am until religious services at 11 am conducted by Rev. Watson Lamb. Burial will be immediately following at Roselawn Memorial Park. The family wishes to thank Brenda Hewitt and Mary Rayburn and the wonderful residents and staff of Williamsburg for their love and care in recent years.
