Bobbie Mae Scott, a native of New Orleans and a resident of Baton Rouge, passed away on Sunday, September 6, 2015 at the age of 83. Bobbie worked as a school teacher and guidance counselor for the East Baton Rouge Parish School System where she eventually retired after 30 plus years of dedicated service. She was a member of the Baton Rouge Delta Alumnae Society of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority Inc. and an active member since the early 60’s of the Cardeette Social and Civic Club of Baton Rouge. She was a member of Mount Zion First Baptist Church in Baton Rouge, where she was a member of the Usher Board and taught Sunday school classes. Bobbie is survived by her brother, Eddie Scott; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Manuel and Jeannette Scott; and other siblings. Visitation will be held at Mount Zion First Baptist Church on Saturday, September 12, 2015 from 10 a.m. until her Celebration of Life Service at 12 p.m. During the visitation, the Baton Rouge Delta Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority will hold their Omega Omega Services. Entombment will follow on the grounds of Greenoaks Memorial Park.
