Betty Ann Greenwood Robertson, 83, passed away on December 23, 2021, in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She was born in Lake Charles and was a lifelong resident of Baton Rouge, graduating from LSU and becoming a social worker for the State of Louisiana. She was married to Gordon for 56 years and together they survived the loss of their only son, Douglas. She became involved with the Compassionate Friends organization to give comfort to other grieving parents. Betty was a member of the Lake Charles Kilties Drum Corp and was an avid painter who loved to travel and spend time outdoors birding and spotting butterflies. Betty and her husband made many friends through their involvement with civic and church organizations. She was a wonderful aunt who became a grandmother to her great nephews and niece. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry E. Greenwood and Minerva C Young; husband, Gordon D Robertson; her son, Douglas Robertson, and twin brother Bobby L Greenwood. She is survived by her nephew Bryan Greenwood (Evelyn); great nephews, Elliott and Joe; nephew, Eric Greenwood (Lisa); great nephews, Everett and Sam; great niece, Amelie. In lieu of flowers, the family wishes donations sent to Catholic High School, In Memory of Betty Robertson, Office of Advancement, 808 Hearthstone Dr, Baton Rouge, LA 70806. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a visitation at Rabenhorst Funeral Home Downtown on January 4, 2022, from 10 am until services begin at 12pm. Interment will follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park.
