Ms. Betty Cutrer Millet Mixon, a resident of Baton Rouge, was called home to her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on December 16, 2023 at the age of 92. Ms. Betty was born in Baton Rouge on January 25, 1931 to parents Charles and Inez Cutrer. She is a graduate from Istrouma High School and held many positions with the City Parish Department of Public Works, City Police and was the first woman to serve as Deptuty Director of Civil Defense. Upon retirement, she loved fishing at her camp and enjoyed going to the casinos.
She is survived by her daughters, Barbara Matthews and Beverly Charlerville (Rhett); sons, Andy Millet (Debbie), Harrell Millet (Lynn) and Darrell Millet; daughter in law, Dina Millet; eleven grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren and one great, great, grand-child.
She is preceded in death by her parents Charles and Inez Cutrer; husbands, Anthony Earl Millet and William Mixon; sister, Pauline Worsham; brother in law, Clark Worsham; daughter, Dee Dee Comeaux; son, Carroll Millet; son in laws, Russell Comeaux and Mark Matthews and grandson in law, Steven Bozeman.
Visitation will be held at Greenoaks Funeral Home, 9595 Florida Blvd. Baton Rouge, on December 21, 2023 from 9:00am until funeral service time of 11:00am. Interment will immediately follow at Greenoaks Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be, Brad Comeaux, Brandon Millet, Rhett Charlerville Jr., Bryce Comeaux, Brennan Short, Anthony Christ and Aaron Bozeman.
