Angela E. Alvarez passed away on Friday, December 6, 2024, at the age of 97. She was a native of Camaguey, Cuba, and a resident of Baton Rouge, LA. Angela is survived by her sons, Jose Alvarez (Patricia), Orlando Alvarez (Olga), and Gerardo Alvarez (Marcela); nine grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and a host of other loving family members. She is preceded in death by her husband, Orlando Alvarez; daughter, Maria Alvarez; and parents, Florencio and Angela Portilla.
