Mrs. Pagans was born on December 27, 1931 to David B. Allman and Vanna Toler Allman. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, H. C. (Chat) Pagans; a brother; Wesley Allman (Margaret); half-sisters; Elsie Dudley, Cordie Houston, Virgie Berger and Wilmouth; half-brothers, Beverly and Wilbert Allman.
She is survived by a daughter, Phyllis Geramita (Chas) of Bassett; three sons, Danny Pagans (Betty) of Martinsville, Bill Pagans (Lou) of Roanoke and John Pagans of Collinsville. Brother, David Allman (Mary) of Roanoke. Four Grandchildren; Matt Pagans, Nick Geramita, Ashley Saum (Mitch) and Austin Pagans. Six Great Grandchildren; Styles and Cheyenne Geramita, Luke and Chance Pagans, Lillie Gish and Barrett Saum and a number of nieces and nephews.
Shirley was employed for many years at Leggett Department Store at Collinsville Shopping Center and retired from Belk at the Liberty Fair Mall. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Collinsville.
A visitation will be held on Monday, December 16, 2024 at Collins Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Hwy, Bassett, VA from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Tuesday, December 17, 2024 at 1:00 PM at First Baptist Church of Collinsville with Reverend Larry Cheek officiating. Burial will follow in Roselawn Burial Park.
