Mary Elizabeth Boothe Boothe Massey

Mary Elizabeth Boothe Massey, age 78, formerly of the Preston Community, died Thursday, January 20, 2011, in Memorial Hospital of Martinsville and Henry County. Born October 15, 1932, in Patrick County, she was a daughter of the late Thomas Green Boothe and Ocie Elizabeth Spencer Boothe. Also preceding her in death was her husband, John Frank Massey, sisters, Nora Walker and Ethel Nolen, and brothers, Thomas Boothe, Edgar Boothe and Robert Boothe. Mary was a member of Preston Wesleyan Church. She is survived by her daughter, Thelma D. Massey of Martinsville, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. Monday, January 24, 2011, at Collins-McKee-Stone Funeral Home, Bassett, with Pastor Alvin Wooters officiating. Interment will follow in Ross-Harbour United Methodist Church Cemetery.
