Edith Galilee Clark, 98, of Bassett, Virginia, passed away on Thursday, April 12, 2018. Mrs. Clark was born on December 29, 1919 to the late Maggie Lou Morris Smith and the late Watt Wade Smith.
Mrs. Clark is survived by her daughter, Peggy Clark Wilson; a son, A. Wills Clark Jr.; and a grandson, Seth Clark.
In addition to her parents, she was deceased by her husband, Albert W. Clark Sr.; two sisters, Louise W. Hargrave and Evelyn Nodelyk.
Funeral Services will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Wednesday, April 18, 2018 from Collins Funeral Home Chapel with the Pastor Clyde Hylton officiating. Interment will follow in Roselawn Burial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 to 1 p.m., one hour prior to the service.
The family would like to thank their mother's caregivers, Thee Wooten and Anita DeShazo.
The family also request that memorials to be made to the Pocahontas Baptist Church or to the Bassett Historical Center.
