Mr. Aaron Walter Robertson, age 89 of Bassett, VA , passed away on June 22, 2023. He was born on March 23, 1934 in Spray, North Carolina to Hiram Levi Robertson and Bertha Bell Robertson. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Eunice Roark Robertson, two grandsons, Shawn Robertson, Israel Bauguess, three sisters, Alma Kriniskie, Ava Coleman, Audrey Capalko, five brothers, Alton, Allen, Auston, Albert and Adrian Robertson.
Mr. Robertson was employed by Dupont for 28 years. He was a member of the Family Worship Center. He served in the U.S. Navy for 4 years.
Mr. Robertson is survived by two daughters, Tiejuania Bauguess (Larry), Patty Robertson, two sons, Terry Robertson (Marcia), Mark Robertson, two sisters, Alva Jacqueline Neil, Alene Dyson, one brother, Andrew David (A.D.) Robertson, nine Grandchildren and nine Great- Grandchildren.
A Visitation will be held on Monday, June 26, 2023 at Collins Funeral Home, 30 Riverside Hwy, Bassett, VA from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
A Funeral Service will follow the next day, Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at Collins Funeral Home Chapel at 1:00 PM. Interment will follow in the Pleasant Grove Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, 4866 Moorefield Store Road, Stuart, VA 24171.
The family suggest in lieu of flowers, make donations to the Family Worship Center, 1080 Preston Road, Martinsville, VA 24112 or to the Alzheimer"s Association, Patrick County Chapter, P.O. Box 1301, Stuart, VA 24171.
The family will be at other times at the residence of Mr. Robertson.
