She was born in Marshall, Clark County on April 8, 1937 to John Leslie and Pearl (Maggert) Clapp. Wilma married Clarence Kirkley in Charleston, IL on January 14, 1960, he survives.
Wilma is also survived by her children, David (Julie) Kirkley of Robison, IL, Gary Kirkley of Osakis, MN, Diane (Alan) Denler of Hanna City, Jim (Chris) Kirkley of Walcott, IA, and Kevin (Kevin) Kirkley of Lebanon, TN; 12 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her parents and two brothers, Everett and Aaron.
Wilma dedicated her life to her family, embracing her role as a homemaker and stay-at-home mom with love, care, and devotion.
Wilma had a natural ability to make friends wherever she went. Her cheerful spirit, kind heart, and infectious laughter made her a beloved figure in the community.
Whether it was camping trips with close friends, socializing at gatherings, or enjoying an evening of cards.
Her love for the outdoors, especially camping, was a cherished tradition she shared with those she loved.
Funeral service will be held Saturday, December 14, 2024 at 10:30 a.m. at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel with visitation being one hour prior to service. Burial will conclude at Swan Lake Memory Gardens.
