Bill was born on February 28, 1954, in Pekin, to Wayne and Alice Mae (Vale) Durham. His father preceded him in death.
He is survived by his daughters, Angela Smith and Crystal Painter; sons, Daniel "Danny" (Nicole) Durham and their daughter Everly of Washington, and Tyler (Heather) Durham of Pekin, and their mother Vanessa Reese of Pekin; four granddaughters, one grandson, and one great-grandson; his mother, Alice Mae Durham; sisters, Rebecca "Becky" (John) Lignoul, and Linda Durham; many nieces and nephews, including Butch, Robert, David, Diane, and Jenifer - whom all lived with him at one point of their lives because they were "pains in the butt and couldn't act right at home"; and many friends.
Bill began working for Commonwealth Edison Power Plant at the age of 21 in 1975, until his retirement in 2004. He loved to spend his time outside racing, riding dirtbikes, fishing, hunting, and camping. Bill also loved watching TV and was a huge Pittsburg Steelers fan.
Cremation rites have been accorded. A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 9, 2023, from 4-6pm at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel, with Jeni to speak at 4pm.
Memorials can be made directly to the Durham family, or to Illinois Cancer Care in Peoria.
