Sandra Kay Laughlin, age 82, of Peoria, Illinois passed away on Saturday, October 15, 2022 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center. She was born on March 12, 1940 in Peoria to Robert and Vonda (LeMar) Demmin. She married James Lee Laughlin on August 31, 1957; he preceded her in death on May 16, 2019.
She is survived by her two children, Renae (Shannon) Cole of Bartonville, Illinois and James "Scott" Laughlin of Kennesaw, Georgia; three grandchildren, Seth, Elijah, and Isabelle; one great grandson, Liam; sister, Carol Howard; brother, David Demmin; and several nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents; and one brother, Robert Demmin.
Sandra was a loving wife, mom, and grandma. She enjoyed spending time with her family. She attended Cornerstone Baptist Church.
A funeral service for Sandra will occur at 2 p.m. on Thursday, October 20, 2022 at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel, 1203 West Garfield Avenue in Bartonville. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Smithville Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Cornerstone Baptist Church.
