Born March 3, 1947 in Evansville, IN to Jack and Betty (Highsmith) Kingsbury; he married Kathleen Davidson on June 4, 1966 in Elberfeld, IN. She survives.
Also surviving are their children, Gina (Roger) Quick of Mapleton, Eric Kingsbury (Michelle Flarity) of Phoenix, AZ and Lisa (Michael) Tiff of Zuni, VA; grandchildren, Jeffrey (Mary) Quick, Joshua Quick (Ashley Sprague), Haley Kingsbury, Dylan Kingsbury and Drew Kingsbury; two great grandchildren and brother, Larry Kingsbury of Indiana.
Preceding in death were his parents and a brother, Stephen Kingsbury.
Gary was a US Army veteran serving during the Vietnam era and was a member of the Bartonville American Legion Post 979.
He was an FAA Air Traffic Controller for 37 years at the General Wayne A. Downing Peoria International Airport.
Gary loved his family and enjoyed gardening, travel and music, especially the Eagles.
Funeral services will be at 10:30 AM Wednesday, February 21, 2024 at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel with visitation one hour prior to the service. Burial will follow at Smithville Cemetery with military honors.
