Elizabeth Diana Orton

Elizabeth D. "Liz" Orton, 65, of Hanna City, passed away at 3:41 PM in Tuesday, September 12, 2017 at the University of Chicago Medicine. She was born on November 13, 1951 in Peoria to George Dewey and Doris J. (Dismang) Egan. She married Rex A. Orton in Peoria Heights on May 25, 1997. He survives, along with her father, George D. Egan of Bartonville; 4 children, Brad M. (Angela) Adams of Hanna City, Stephanie Ann (Marshall) Adams-Parks or Peoria, and Roger and Rodney Adams; five grandchildren Zac, Anna, Gabriella, Christian and Emmalynne; two sisters Cheryl Delawder and Joan Pentecost; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother.

Liz had been a contract negotiator for Caterpillar, retiring in 2015 after 41 years of service. She enjoyed participating in Civil War Reenactments. She loved flower gardening and cooking. She was devoted to her grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held on Thursday, September 21, 2017 at 1:30 PM at Smithville Cemetery. Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel is in care of arrangements.
