Donald Ray Corley

Donald Ray “Don” Corley, 79, of Peoria, passed away on Friday, March 3, 2023 at UnityPoint Health - Methodist in Peoria. He was born on August 13, 1943 in Hardinsburg, Kentucky, a son of Hugh and Eva M. (Algood) Corley. Don married Loretta A. Hutchinson on August 4, 1991 in Peoria. She survives.

He is also survived by his two daughters, Christina Corley of Round Rock, Texas and Marilyn (Jon) Garrison of Pekin; two step-sons, Fred (Dorothea) Davis of Peoria Heights and Jack (Donna) Davis, Jr. of Lebanon, Missouri; one step-daughter, Laura (Keith) Clavlox of Fort Myers, Florida; three grandchildren, Bailey Garrison, Chloe Garrison and Kristy Mericao; two great-granddaughters, Rhylie and Payton Mericao; and several nieces and nephews.

Don was preceded in death by his parents; son, Donald Ray Corley ll; three brothers; and four sisters.

He served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War.

Don worked as a machinist for Caterpillar, Inc. for 35 years.

He was a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Peoria Aerie #265 and the UAW Local #974 in East Peoria. Don loved to go fishing and watch the Chicago Bears. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather and will be missed.

Don's funeral service will be at 10:00 am on Friday, March 10, 2023 at the Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. His visitation will be from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, March 9, 2023 at the funeral chapel. Burial will be in Swan Lake Memory Gardens in Peoria with full military honors.
