He was born February 26, 1965 in Farmington, MO, a son of William Austin and Myran Gail David Farrar. He married Tracy Smallwood on May 13, 1995 in Peoria. She survives.
Also surviving are two children, Natasha Marie Gail Farrar and Drake Alan Farrar both of Peoria; his father of CA; five siblings, Carol (Eric) Cleer of Bartonville, Ron (Dawn) Farrar of Eureka, Cathy Farrar, Michael (Kime) Farrar, and Stephen (Debbie) Farrar all of CA; his mother-in-law, Rosie Smallwood of Peoria; and numerous nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his mother, and father-in-law, Jim Smallwood Sr.
Alan was employed by RMH Foods in Morton since June 2010 and previously employed by Illinois Valley Plastics in Washington.
He was a member of La Marsh Baptist Church in Mapleton.
Alan loved his family beyond measure. He was known for his sense of humor and practical jokes.
Funeral services will be at 12 p.m. Monday, March 7, 2011 at La Marsh Baptist Church in Mapleton. Pastor Brian Rahn will officiate. Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday at Davison-Fulton Bartonville Chapel. Burial will be in Maple Ridge Cemetery in Mapleton.
