William Cody Fielder

William Cody Fielder, of Memphis, TN, passed away on September 6, 2016 in Birmingham, AL after battling cystic fibrosis; he was 26. Cody was previously deceased by his grandmothers, Brenda Thomas and Lynda K. Fielder. Cody is survived by his wife of six years, Rachel Pate Fielder; his mother, Donna Fielder; his father, Pat Fielder; his siblings, Patrick Gooch and Allison Fielder; his grandfathers, Billy Thomas and Tommy Cox; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles; and his furbabies, Petey and Saddie. There are no words that could adequately express how much strength Cody displayed during his battles and how unwilling he was to give up. He had a great sense of humor, often laughing at himself. He always thought of others before himself. He was a graduate of ITT Technical Institute and an employee of K.C. Computer on Summer Avenue since 2009. His family and friends relied on him often for his computer skills and intelligence. The family will receive friends on Saturday, September 10 from four until six o’clock at Memphis Funeral Home and Memorial Gardens, 3700 N Germantown Road, Bartlett, TN. The funeral will be held at two o’clock the following afternoon at the same location with interment following. Staff celebrant Jonathan Matthews will be officiating the service along with Kevin Clark.
